Sr Irene Vas UFS (78), daughter of the late John Peter Vas and the late Lucy Vas, belonging to St Francis Xavier Church, Bejai, Mangalore Diocese, passed away on Friday, August 25,2023.

Funeral Mass on Friday, August 25 in Maria Niketan Convent Chapel, Bogadi, Mysore at 4:00 pm, followed by burial service at Maria Niketan cemetery, Bogadi.

Today we celebrated the seventh day requiem Holy Eucharist for you here at Maria Niketan chapel. thank for your service of love and prayer for the past 10 years, you lived here towards the last leg of your earthly life. I am very much edified by your patience in sickness, love to the poor gratitude to sisters for their loving care and above all your cheerful face, serenity and spending time in prayer; especially joining d online Eucharist when you couldn't join the community Mass. Missing you Irene, my dear Friend. Lord bless her Vas family who gave us such a holly nun. Eternal rest grant unto her O Lord, let your perpetual light shine upon her and may she rest in peace. Heartfelt condolences to Stanley, Gilbert, Gracy and all the bereaved family members.
