Fr Leo John D’Souza (63), Jamshedpur Diocese, son of the late David Valerian D’Souza and Juliana D’Souza, brother of Stephen D'Souza, John D’Souza, Jenestine D’Souza, Celine D'Souza, Margaret Mascarenhas and Theresa D’Silva, passed away on Wednesday July 27, 2022.

Funeral service will be held in St Joseph’s Cathedral, Golmuri, Ranchi, Jharkhand on Friday July 29, 2022.

This is really very sad and shocking news. Fr Leo John D souza is my batchmate in the Seminary . We joined on 30 June 1977 with our other batch mates. Fr Leo John was very jovial and lovely person and a good friend of mine.Every time during his annual holidays he used to come to my Parish or Institution. He used to have his regular health check up in Father Mullers. Last year due to covid _19 he had not come.Fr Leo was a good singer and very vibrant and nice person. His death is truly shocking and untimely. May his soul rest in peace. My heartfelt condolences to his family members relatives and friends. We his batch mates offer this tribute.

Very sad hear the sudden demise of Rev. Fr. Leo John D Souza. We both joined the seminary together. We both were ordained on the same day for the Diocese of Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. Fr. Leo John was very active, full of life, kind and generous to the people in need. The family and the Diocese of Jamshedpur has lost a great and wonderful priest.
