Goa, Apr 13: In order to give provide a boost to the writers of Konkani in Romi script, Dalgado Konknni Akademi (DKA) had organized a novel writing competition in which Sharon R Fernandes e Sores bagged the first prize of Rs 15,000 for her novel ‘Handbag’.
Vincy Quadros bagged the second prize of Rs 10,000 for his novel ‘Suryadoy’, while Willy Goes bagged the third prize of Rs. 5,000 for his novel ‘Kotrina’.

Besides the cash prize, the three awards also carry specially designed mementos and certificates.
Premanand A Lotlikar, president, Dalgado Konknni Akademi, has congratulated all the winners.
The awards will be presented in a special function to be held on Friday April 15 at 4.15 pm at Ravindra Bhavan’s Conference Hall in Margao.
