Mangalore, Dec 1:
Mamata Poojary, member of the Indian women’s Kabaddi team that won the gold medal at the Asian Games held in China recently, was given a warm welcome at the Mangalore Airport on Wednesday December 1.

The flight landed at the Bajpe airport at 6.35 pm.

Speaking to presspersons she said that women's Kabaddi was not given much attention in India, but with her achievement she hoped that people would look at it with more interest.

She said that the allegation against the central government that it does not support sportpersons and athletes is false, and added that she has been awarded Rs 10 lac by the central government.

A bachelor in arts, Mamata comes from a poor family. Despite constraints, she pursued her education and performed at the international level to prove her mettle.

Along with Mamata’s family members, DC Subhodh Yadav, mayor Rajani Dugganna among others were present to receive her.

Congratulations to you Ms.Mamatha. You have made people of Karnataka feel proud. Our youth has real potential, and it is a known fact but of course there is less encouragement and support. Hope the Sports Minister and his officials do work in this direction to get best of the best facilities to our sports aspirants.

    ramanna moodubidre

You are a shameful person to the land of Moodbidre. Better go back to some good schools of Moodubidre, whether Alvas foundation or some other good institutions where you can learn or study to be a better man. Be civilized in a society else you would be a curse to the society. Shameful to have anna in your name.

Dont bring politics to the field of Sports. Also, dont bring hatredness by dragging Nayak or Fatima etc names. Nayak is a community, not an individual name and be careful while talking about the community.

Please dont ever stretch out your fragile tongue through pen, a gentle appeal to you

KABADI, KABADI, KABADI. The young breed is not aware of this sport. Kabadi is very exciting sport which was played widely in villages in Manglore some years back. Now it is a Asiad event our schools should reintroduce this sport and young student should be encouraged to play this sport. MAMATHA has made all of us proud and Big thank to her to take KABADI in a new level. All the best for the futuer.

First of all I really congratulate and pray for u. Great thing u have achieved for our country. I wish u all the best as a common and ordinary person I think it is my duty. May God bless u in ur future. Heartening thing is nobody is alive in our state except stray BJP dogs like Nayaks, Puttaswamys, Fatimas. these are dying dogs barking 4 their own benifits and not society. Nayak is a mad dog/ass/pig. Don't expect anything from this chappal licking govt. Being a Mangalorean Have strong stamina to overcome all these gutter politics. Once again I wish u n ur family n friends all the best.
