Monti Fest Celebration by Konkan Welfare and Charitable Association, Kalwa

Mumbai, Sep 21: Konkan Welfare and Charitable Association Kalwa, Thane celebrated Monti Fest on Sep 12, 2010 at St Anthony of Padua Church, Kalwa, Thane.

The celebration started with the children coming forward with the flower baskets and offering flowers to “Maria Bombina”.  The New Harvest (Novem) was also blessed during this occasion.



The Konkani mass was celebrated by Fr Deepak Noronha Niddodi, Fr Cajetan Pinto and Deacon John Kennedy.

The choir sang melodiously under the leadership of Thomas D’Souza and Mariata D’Souza.

The priest and choir leaders were honored with flower bouquet and gifts. Sweets and snacks were distributed to the whole community after the mass.
