Mumbai, Sep 15: Aasumsaamv Konknni Sangh Kandivli here celebrated Monti Fest on Saturday Sep 11.

The Mass started with a Novena to Maria Bambina (Baallok Mari) with ‘Novem Benjar’ and floral offering. Fr Roshan Loy D'Souza was the main celebrant of the Konkani mass.


Variety of Konkani entertainment programmes were organized by the association members. Divo editor ‘Lawrence Coelho’ was the chief guest. The special attraction was the hilarious Konkani skit ‘Paaskuchem Poraajit’. Valerian Pais, Royston Pinto and Reha Quadros compered the programme.  The programme concluded with a ‘Novem Jevonn’.

The Assumption Konkani Sangh, Kandivli (w) consists of A J Pereira as president, John Monteiro as vice-president, Valerian Pais as secretary, John D’Souza as treasurer, Lilly Fernandes as joint secretary and Melvin D'Souza as joint treasurer.
