Maharashtra Konkan Association Andheri West Celebrates Monti Fest

Mumbai, Sep 9:
Maharashtra Konkan Association celebrated Monti Fest at St Blasé High School auditorium, Amboli, Andheri (West), here on Wednesday September 8 morning.
 
Fr Joe Pimenta, assistant parish priest of St Blasé parish and Fr Felix D’Souza, assistant parish priest concelebrated the festal Holy Mass. 


Fr Hubert Goveas, parish priest of St Pius parish, Mulund (West), here blessed the paddy sheaves and freshly harvested vegetables procured for the Mangalorean traditional celebration of Monti Fest. 
 
Christian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) founder president Vincent Mathias, Alert India director Stella Mancharil, Benedicta Rebello, entrepreneur Herald Castelino, Mumbai High Court lawyers Pius Vas and Genevieve Vaz, ‘Divo’ Konkani illustrated weekly editor Lawrence Coelho, singers Henry D’Souza and Victor Concesso, senior teacher Mary D’Souza, social activist Harry R Ferrer, Stany D’Souza and Ronida Press Media Private Limited director Tara Rons Bantwal among others were present.

Veteran Konkani columnist and dramatist Harryboy offered motion for the traditional sharing of fellowship meal after the blessing by Fr Hubert.
 
Maharashtra Konkan Association president Walter D’Souza Jerimeri welcomed the gathering. Vice-president John G Mendonca conducted the prayer service. Convenor Leo Fernandes compered the programme.  Honorary secretary Victor Castelino proposed the vote of thanks.
