Beltangady: Hundreds Gather to Celebrate Monthi Fest at St Peter Claver Church

Beltangady, Sep 8: Monthi Fest was celebrated with grandeur in Arva Church here on Wednesday September 8 with hundreds of devotees taking part in the celebrations.
Ward Gurkars brought the paddy corns from the fields, which were blessed at the entrance gate of the Church. People marched in procession carrying the blessed corns, offering flowers and singing the Marian hymns.
The procession was followed by the Eucharistic celebration. Parish priest Fr Arun Lobo presided over the ceremony and hundreds of people, including children participated in the proceedings.
After the holy Mass the blessed corns and sugarcanes were distributed among the devotees.
