Mumbai: 90% turn up to receive Covid-19 vaccine

Mumbai, Jan 24: On Friday Mumbai received 1.25 lac vaccine vials taking total to 2.65 lac vaccine vials. On Saturday, Mumbai saw 90% of its target at the 10 vaccination centres across the city. Next vaccination drive will resume on Monday.

The first lot of 1,39,000 vaccine vials were received in Mumbai on last Wednesday from Serum Institute of India (SII).

The state now has 43,870 active cases. Mumbai city reported 435 new coronavirus positive cases and 10 deaths, taking its caseload to 3,05,571 and toll to 11,297. Maharashtra on Saturday reported 2,697 fresh coronavirus positive cases, taking the count of infections to 20,06,354.
