Chikkamagaluru, Jan 22: It has been 25 days since the deputy chairman of the state legislative council, S L Dharme Gowda's mutilated mortal remains were found on the railway tracks. So far, reasons for his decision to commit suicide have not been revealed.

It is learnt that the death note left behind by Dharme Gowda has also not been able to throw any light on the said issue. Gowda loved and enjoyed his family life, and remained happy when he did not become a minister and was offered the post of the deputy chairman of the legislative council. He had recently laid the foundation stone for the construction of a house in the town. A few days before he ended his life, it is learnt, he bought expensive shoes and suit by spending a considerable amount. The death note seemed like having been written over several days.

While seeking apology for his decision to end his life, he said that he was pained by the developments in the council. However, he has not mentioned that he was ending his life because of this reason, nor has he given any other reason for choosing to kill himself, it is said.
