Mumbai: Police book organizer three months after BJP minister's event

Mumbai, Jan 22: An unidentified organizer was booked in connection with an event of a BJP politician for flouting lockdown guidelines. A case was registered at Kandivali police station for the violations.

Within four days after the event which had taken place in October, the police received an application from a social worker. But until now no FIR was registered.

Santosh Gholap's complaint stated an event to purportedly present BJP MLA Sunil Rane's achievements had been organized at Raghuleela Mall on October 24, 2020. He said that the videos showed 1000-1500 supporters in one space.
