Udupi: Homage ceremony conducted for visionary late R N Shetty

Udupi, Jan 20: A friendly person like R N Shetty achieved glory in the educational and charitable field. Sri Murdeshwara Kshethra was recognised on a global level because of his work. He is a role model for everyone," said former minister K Abhaychandra Jain.

He was speaking at the homage paying ceremony to R N Shetty that was organized by Mulky Sundaram Shetty Charitable Trust and R N Shetty Fans’ Team, at Sri Annapoorneshwari auditorium Bappanadu, Mulky here.

Former president of Kannada Sahitya Parishat speaking on the occasion said, "R N Shetty, who brought fame to this nation by serving in various fields is a role model for the young generation. His biography should be published to keep his works memorable forever."

Ajith Kumar Rai Malady, president of Dakshina Kannada Bunts' Alias Nadavara Mathru Sangha said, "He had a dream of social development and had a great vision for the organisation, he is an example for the future generation. He is a man who lived a simple life, who was associated with everyone."

Santhosh Hedge, Sumangala Punja, Dr Kudva, Kakvaguttu Sukumar Shetty, Raviraj Shetty paid homage to R N Shetty.   

Manohar Shetty, M H Aravind Poonja, Ramachandra Naik, Jeevan Shetty, Guruvappa Kotyan, Ramesh Amin Kokkarakal, Ashok Kumar Shetty, Gangadhar Shetty Barkethota, Ranganatha Shetty and others were present.

Naveen Shetty Edmar compered the programme.
