Doha: Subramanya Hebbagelu chosen as committee member of ICC Qatar

Doha, Jan 20: Subramanya Hebbagelu was unanimously elected as a committee member for the 2021-2023 term of ICC (Indian Cultural Centre) Qatar, in the online elections held on January 7 through the ‘Digipoll’ mobile application. 90% of voters cast their valuable votes and the maximum number of votes were cast for Subramanya Hebbagelu.

The position of individual elected members and Indian Embassy nominated members in the new ICC management committee will be announced in due course.

Subramanya previously served as the joint secretary of ICBF (Indian Community Benevolent Forum) Qatar and vice-president of Karnataka Sangha Qatar. He is widely regarded as the most approachable and humble social worker among the Indian community in Qatar. He hails from Baindur, Kundapur taluk and is working in an infrastructure company in Qatar.

ICC wishes him all the best and hopes his social service will enhance multifold, benefitting the society to a greater extent.
