Mangaluru: Book on life of St Joseph released in Konkani language

Mangaluru, Jan 16: Pope Francis has declared the period from December 8, 2020, to December 8, 2021, as the year of St Joseph.

On this occasion, the Pope has given apostolic letter Patris Cordae, which consists of the qualities of St Joseph.

Mangala Jyothi publication of the Diocese of Mangalore has published a new book on the life of St Joseph written in Konkani. The release of this book took place at the Infant Jesus shrine at Bikarnakatte in the city by the bishop of Mangalore diocese Dr Peter Paul Saldanha.

Provincial Carmelites Dr Pius D'Souza, superior of St Joseph monastery Fr Charles, director of the shrine Fr Rovel D'Souza and director of Mangala Jyothi Fr Vijay Machado were present on the occasion.
