Karkala: Gang assaults bus conductor for allegedly misbehaving with female passenger

Karkala, Jan 15: A group of four men assaulted a bus conductor alleging that he misbehaved with a young girl travelling in the bus.

The group waylaid the passenger bus KA 20 AA 1674 Krishna Prasad proceeding with passengers on its route from Udupi via Moodubelle – Palli – Kalya at Kuntadi, Ashoknagar, at 9.30 am on January 15.

The group consisting of suspects Ashok, Mavinakatte Santhosh and two others assaulted bus conductor Shameer Parash (20), resident of M G Colony, Vaddarse Kota. The gang also abused the conductor for his misbehavior. They have also slapped Shameer Parash.

Following the incident, Shameer Parash lodged a police complaint in Karkala rural police station. A police case under serial No. 08/2020 under IPC section 341, 323, 504 and 34 is registered in the police station.
