Daijiworld Media Network - Puttur (MS)

Puttur, Nov 28: A young woman has filed a complaint at the city police station accusing that a youth and his accomplice have conned several young women promising them a job at the airport. In addition, she has also accused the said youth of Mareel of the taluk of using abusive language when questioned about the injustice meted to them.

Shruthi, a resident of Mangaluru is the victim who filed the case against Yatheesh Mareel. In her complaint, Shruthi said that her friend Navya made her believe that there are vacancies in the airport. But the job is for 10 people and the recruitment will be done together, one cannot be recruited separately and later cheated on her.

Yatheesh Mareel

Complainant Shruthi, in her complaint said, "Navya introduced Yatheesh Mareel as her brother on the pretext of getting a job for me. I paid Rs 8,000 to him as per the instruction of Navya. Similarly, others also paid him money through Google Pay. Yatheesh collected Rs 80,000 from 10 people and demanded more money from us. When we said that it is not possible to give more money, he abused us in profane language and switched off his mobile phone. Later when we called Navya, she also did not speak to us properly.

"We are cheated. During Covid, we did not have a job. Whatever we saved, we lost now due to this fraud. We have got information that many more people are also conned in other places. So suitable action needs to be taken against Yatheesh Mareel and Navya,” stated Shruthiin her complaint.

A complaint in this regard is registered in the police station.

Shruthi had brought this incident to the notice of pro-Hindu organizations like Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Bajrang Dal and Durgavahini unit. They accompanied the complainant to the Puttur city police station and got the complaint filed. The organizations have urged the police to take legal action against the fraudsters.

I still blame people who first of all still believe that jobs are getting by such small dakotas. They look like roadside burglers. If at all a job in Airport is always by advt.in papers announced. Not by black money.why do they give money first before job has?It is like jobs in UAE:later money or persons not to be seen. These girls are afterall educated ,and believe jobs are given simply so?Dont give your worthful money to some roadside peddlers.I dont believe they will get their money back.

Dear Job seekers, get your job only on your merit. If you pay money to anyone in exchange of job, then you are equally part of the corrupt system.
