Udupi: 'Our primary aim is to make Karnataka Congress-free' - Nalin Kumar Kateel

Daijiworld Media Network - Udupi (HB)

Udupi, Nov 28: “The primary intention of the Grama Swaraj conventions is to make Karnataka a Congress-free state by winning all the gram panchayats. Winning at least 80 per cent of the gram panchayat is our goal. A common party worker can become a strong leader, it is possible only at panchayat level elections,” said BJP state president Nalin Kumar Kateel at the state's second Grama Swaraj convention inaugurated at the Amrith Garden, near LVT, Udupi on Friday November 27.

"The preparation for the panchayat election has been already begun three months ago. BJP has adopted pancha sutras and pancha ratnas to win upcoming local body election.

Nalin further stated that Gandhiji never talked about a secular country, rather dreamt of building Rama Rajya, which begins with the development of villages. "Congress sought votes using Gandhi's name but BJP sought votes through his principles and thoughts.

“As per plans formulated by Prime Minister Modi, each panchayat will be receiving grants over Rs 1 crore directly into its account under MGNREGA scheme. Panchayat president is just like a Prime Minister, they are just as powerful and will be provided with such kind of power in days to come. The main motto of the convention is strengthening village panchayat body and transforming party workers into leaders,” he said.

Deputy chief minister Dr C N Ashwath Narayan in his address said, "A country's strength, culture and thoughts lies in its villages. Therefore, it is important that all villages are developed and all the developments should be begin from villages."

Udupi-Chikkamagaluru MP Shobha Karandlaje speaking on the occasion said, "Prime Minister Narendra Modi always refers to Udupi when talking about development. He has lot of expectations from the district and has assured to provide additional grants for the district. Thoughts and evolution should go hand in hand for the integrated development of the nation. We have hopes of winning all the 154 panchayats. It is possible with the support of people of Udupi. If any person contests in the election, he would definitely win against the Opposition party's representative."

BJP state general secretary Mahesh Tenginkai, Geetha Vivekananda state president, Mahila Morcha, S Muniswamy MP Kolar, Uday Kumar Shetty in-charge of Mangaluru division, Udupi MLA Raghupati Bhat, BJP district president Kuilady Suresh Naik , Kaup MLA Lalaji Mendon, Dinakar Babu president, zilla panchayat, Somanath Kotian, Sheela K Shetty, zilla panchayat vice president, Yashpal Suvarna, Naveen Kutyaru and others were present.

Nalin, surely you are a kid compared to my age. Before you were born we used to vie for political existence - i.e high school friends. Jan Sangh was the party and predecessor to BJP. Yet there were no enmities amongst us. We wanted advance our own parties' agenda at every possible juncture. But your talk is truly sub standard because ... you were born after Congress achieved independence for this country. We may not like the leaders of Congress, but hating Congress culture or their past is something stupid. We are all proud Mangaloreans and our ancestors have directly or indirectly contributed to the growth of this country. For your information, we were all (including your forefathers) congressmen. Please do not degrade your stature by stating things that is detrimental to our culture. Shame

We all know Congress is no more stronger as it was, but it is important to elect a alternative strong opposition to uphold the beauty of democracy.

Our country is going through multiple challenges from the Covid 19 pandemic and economic recession. There is also the security threat from China and Pakistan. People have lost their jobs and business has suffered due to the ill advised economic policies of the BJP government. A pall of gloom has descended on the country.
Instead of concentrating on ways to overcome the difficulties the country is facing, these BJP fellows are busy trying to bring in love jihad laws and focusing on congress mukth Bharath. The need of the hour is for all Indians to unite so that a bigger and stronger Bharath emerges. We don't want division in the country on the basis of religion.
Now, coming to Kateels's call to have a Congress mukth Bharath, I would call that anti national and anti democratic. For any democracy to survive, a viable and strong opposition is certainly needed. It does not matter whether the opposition is from the Congress or the BJP or any other party. In the absence of a strong opposition, the ruling party - any ruling party for that matter - will have a cake walk and will bring in laws to suit its convenience, whether they are in the interest of the nation or not. Only a strong opposition can thwart such efforts. No right thinking Indian can allow any one party to have its way. It would be suicidal for the country not to have a strong opposition. The democracy will be killed and we should not allow such a thing to happen.

India's economy contracted by 7.5% in the July-September quarter following a record slump of 23.9% in the previous three months, pushing the country into a recession for the first time in its history.

At this time we cannot raise objection to any, because certain ideology say it is antinational propaganda, some groups enjoy the downfall of economy for political rivalry. The real concerned and effected people won’t raise their voice, they became silent by thinking, to keep away themselves from embarrassment, anger, denial and baseless arguments from blockheaded people.

    Think wisely.

We can only pray for our Nation and our well being:

Today they are at the mercy, desperately piggybacking, on mediocre regional n fanatical radical organizations.. Nevertheless, having said that, Dr MMS is okay for financial adviser and not a PM material. And Besides, let's not forget that it was Dr MMS who brought the US out of the economic depression in 2008.

But Nalin - the Great Economist promised that we will get Rs 3 for a Us dollar. But still he is working on it. For the time being, let's excuse him coz he is busy working on making Karnataka congress-free.
