Chikkamagaluru: Sri Ram Sene demands action against people performing namaz with mikes

Daijiworld Media Network - Chikkamagaluru (SP)

Chikkamagaluru, Nov 27: Sri Ram Sene had organised Datta Homa at Guru Dattatreya Swamy Baba Budan Dargah on Thursday November 26. At that time, the Sene activists resorted to flash protest, demanding either to register a case against those who were using mikes for their namaz when the Homa was in progress or alternatively, to allow them to sing Bhajans by using mikes at the same spot.

Thursday happened to be the last day of Dattamala campaign. A large number of Sri Ram Sene activists had visited the hill to pay obeisance to the Datta Paduke. After having the Darshan, they squatted in dharna at the spot where the Homa was performed, raised slogans against the district administration, and sought the presence of the deputy commissioner.

As the deputy commissioner did not come, many leaders including Rishi Kumara Swamiji and others were preparing to rush into the spot where the namaz was carried out. When the police stopped them, there was verbal friction between the two sides.

Deputy commissioner Dr Bagadi Gautham who arrived at the spot later, said that it is necessary to maintain status quo as per court order in the controversial Dargah area. This is a sensitive issue, he pointed out, and promised to examine all aspects and take steps accordingly.

The leaders relented thereafter. Sri Ram Sene state leader, Mahesh Kattinamane, district president Ranjith Shetty, Sharadamma of Durga Sene, Siddalinga Swamy, Gangadhar Kulkarni and others were present.

None of the holy books I guess contain versus which prescribe using speakers for prayers. Prayers can be done without loud speakers and amplifiers in case the holy books dont recommend it......applicable to all places of worship and applicable to all days including the festive days.

Our religion never preaches such thing. The crime that person did was his individual act. Can you say the same to other peaceful religion?

Sanjay Hebri, none of the serious religions teaches it ,only some subway sekts practice it.A normal thinking and living person never does it.But there are always exceptions go out of the way.Same time when we speak about Ram Sene ,they demand that mikes should be in silence when they pray. What about there are people start at 5 am to put on mike and start Bhajan ,?all those people with safran dresses ,who go to some Holy place?so there must be same rights to others also. But I say best is avoid noice with Mikes to all for prayers,so that peace comes back.why is a mike important to pray?that too so loud ,one hears it in another village too.
