Udupi: MP Shobha Karandlaje meets FM Nirmala Sitharaman - Requests aid for coffee growers

Daijiworld Media Network – Udupi (HB/EP)

Udupi, Nov 25: MP Shobha Karandlaje visited union finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Wednesday, November 25. In her talk with Sitharaman, she spoke about the problems faced by the coffee growers due to adverse weather conditions.

“The coffee growers have been facing problems of floods, famine, lack of labourers, inability to fetch suitable prices for coffee etc for the past several years. The Centre should take up measures to revive the coffee cultivation industry. The government should lend loans on flexible terms and help the growers,” said the MP in a request to Sitharaman.

“Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government is bound to solve the problems of coffee planters. The required actions will be taken in this connection,” assured union finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman.

Why aid for coffee growers. 90% of coffee planters are encroached and looted. I know one coffee estate in siravase and and bogase was fraudulently bought and sold by taking advantage of family being away from chikmagalur, but was caught red handed. Lot of forging and mal practice and looting going on in chikmagalur.

This is a camouflaged request seeking government largesse for herself as a coffee planter. No time to pursue Mangalore Hassan highway.

    Albert,

Even Dongi party supporters are waiting for Modi's action to jail them (the party leaders) that was supposed to be done within 100 days of Modi coming to power. Forget that, even the bird Modi thought will sing is in jail since Dec. 2018 but no song is coming out.

Only you are left to sing.

We Kannadigas are not less business minded. First send handloom sarees for Diwali as a gift (not yet clarified whether from public fund or self financed), boast about promoting the industry and then go with a request for aid for the industry in which she too has several acres of plantation.

FM is done with this request, what Shobhakka expecting from Irani dame, Kannhimoli and other women leaders whom saree is already sent ??

100% correct. Shobha wants to get only a few crores to satisfy her needs. Shobha must remember that she cannot but puspaka Vemana for her travel to helltown.
