Mangaluru: New development committee formed for Kukke Subramanya temple

Mangaluru, Oct 30: The government has taken out an order for the nomination of a new development committee for the renowned Kukke Subramanya temple in Kadaba taluk of Dakshina Kannada district.

Kukke Subramanya temple is the richest temple in the state of Karnataka. The order states to form a development committee of six members including the executive officer.

PGS Prasad, Krishna Shetty Kadaba, Prasanna, S Mohan Ram and Vanaja Bhat are nominated as members of the development committee. This committee will be in power for the next three years.

The committee is instructed by the government to work as complimentary with the managing committee of the temple. It should not meddle in the internal affairs of the temple.

The government is mulling to form a Kukke development authority in the future. That is why the present committee term is fixed for three years.
