Fatalities due to accidents: Bengaluru ranks third in country

Bengaluru, Oct 26: Silicon city Bengaluru has been ranked third among the cities in the country with the highest number of accident-related deaths.

The ranking has been given by the National Crime Records Bureau based on the highest number of deaths due to accidents. In 2018, 4,611 accidents were registered in the city whereas, in 2019 the number went up to 4,684. In 2018, 686 people lost their lives in the accident whereas, in 2019, 768 died, the report stated.

In Chennai, 7,580 accidents were reported in 2018 and 6,871 in 2019. In Delhi, 6,515 accidents were reported in 2018 as against 5,610 in 2019.

Among the states, Maharashtra takes the cake at the first spot with 47,295 accidents causing 15,358 deaths.

    negligence and care less in driving , while driving people doesn't bother about others lives, bothering only "MYSELF, I want to reach quick" and also lack of concern from authorities .

    When you have 20th Century roads and 21st Century Vehicles...and Corrupt MV Department distributing Driving Licenses ....this is natural outcome ....

    Go to any Country outside India....and try to get a Driving License.... you will know how STRICT they are in issuing Driving License....
