Kalaburagi: Siddaramaiah slams DCM Ashwath Narayan, dares him to approach PM for funds

Kalaburagi, Oct 25: Former chief minister and leader of opposition Siddaramaiah on Sunday October 25 vented his anger against DCM Ashwath Narayan for his statement that BJP had 'more guts than Siddaramaiah'.

Speaking to scribes Siddaramaiah said, "Having guts does not mean wrestling. If Ashwath Narayan has power let him speak to PM Modi and bring compensation for the victims of flood of the state. Though there are 25 BJP MPs in the state, they are of no use. Let Ashwath Narayan have 10 times more guts than me. But let him use it to bring compensation from PM Modi. I have spoken in this context.

"Flood victims have not yet got a single rupee as compensation. Though there are so many issues in the state, the state government is not mustering courage to approach PM. Let them take all party delegation. We will ask for compensation. BJP does not have the guts to go to the PM and ask for more compensation.

"CM Yediyurappa used to take bribe through cheque. His son is receiving through RTGS. Yediyurappa used the method of olden days. His son is using the modern technology to get bribe. He has got Rs 7.40 crore to his account directly through RTGS. This government is totally corrupt and loots in broad daylight. They do not want to hear the plight of the victims of flood. They have made looting as their work," fumed Siddaramaiah.

As Siddaramaiah arrived at the Kalaburagi airport, his supporters chanted slogans that he should be the next CM. Reacting to the supporters, Siddaramaiah said, "High command will decide who should be the next CM. People want me to be CM because of their regard for me. Right now the CM post is not vacant and the elections are also not round the corner."

Siddaramaiah expressed his rage against the statement of DCM Laxman Savadi that five MLAs would desert Congress and join BJP. "I can say that 15 MLAs of BJP will join Congress. But I will not blabber. The state government has completely failed in managing the flood situation in the state. So far not a single rupee is released for flood-affected areas. CM Yediyurappa did the aerial survey. But did he try to find out what is the plight of the victims on ground? In Kalaburagi, Yediyurappa conducted meeting where people representatives were not called. He returned just by listening to the version of officials. That is why I have come personally to listen to the woes of the victims. Kalyana Karnataka has suffered huge losses due to rain and floods. This should be declared as national disaster and more compensation needs to be given," he said.
