Mangaluru: Stones pelted at bus after argument, three arrested

Mangaluru, Oct 24: Two miscreants pelted stones at bus which was moving towards Mangaluru from Vittal. The incident happened near Natekal late in the evening on Saturday October 24.

Two people on a bike and bus driver had an argument after one among them did not make way for the other which is said to be reason for stone pelting.

The bike riders threw stones on the driver near Deralakatte, the stone hit the face of driver and the glass was smashed. The bus was filled with passengers, any major accident was averted.

Konaje police after viewing CCTV footage were successful in arresting Belma resident Alfaz Kalpade. Ponga Ashraf who helped Afzal escape on his bike is absconding. The police have also arrested 2 persons who tried to stop police from arresting Afzal.

A case has been reistered in Konaje police station.
