Tumakuru: Bypoll - C T Ravi expects Sira to become BJP bastion

Tumakuru, Oct 20: "A large number of Congress and JD(S) leaders have been supporting our party in the coming byoll. There is no doubt that Sira constituency will turn into a strong BJP bastion and the people here will ensure that the BJP candidate becomes victorious," said national general secretary of the BJP, C T Ravi.

He was addressing a press conference held at Sira on Monday October 19. He claimed that political crystallization has begun here with several leaders of other parties coming into the BJP fold. "The Congress and the JD(S) can't tolerate the victory of each other's party. As such, our candidate will stand to benefit. Our own internal survey and central and police reports also have indicated our victory. Congress is bound to get a drubbing in both Rjarjeshwari Nagar and Sira constituencies," he stated.

Ravi said that maximum of dalit MLPs and MLAs have won as BJP candidates and the party has supported reservation and reservation-base dreservatoon. He said that the BJP government provided constitutional status to the backward commission. He said his party will keep its promise of filling Madaloor tank.

Siddaramaiah's son, Yathindra, canvassed votes for the Congress candidate from Sira, T B Jayachandra. He said that BJP candidate Rajesh Gowda is his friend but clarified that friendship and politics are different. He said he wants an experienced and honest person like T B Jayachandra to win the election.
