Udupi, Oct 1: With the Technical Support from Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management, Bantakal, department of Pre University Education, government of Karnataka in association with Udupi District Pre University college Principal’s association and Udupi District Lecturers' Association organized the YouTube recording sessions for the first PUC subject of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology.

The inauguration of this event was held at Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management, Bantakal on October 1, 2020. Baghavantha Kattimani, deputy director Pre University, Udupi district was the chief guest of the event. Speaking on the occasion he highlighted the importance of online teaching in the time of COVID–19 pandemic and about the measures taken by the PU department in association with various forms. He also spoke on the preparations needed by the faculty to deliver the lecture in the most effective manner so that the content covered is easily understood by any student studying in any remote village in Karnataka. He also appreciated the host college for providing the technical support to perform the recording in an effective manner.

Rathnakumar, secretary SSVMET was the president of the event and in his presidential address assured the best possible support for all the activities undertaken by the department of PU education in the teaching-learning process and assured that the institution is equipped with good infrastructure to provide good quality video recording.

Dayananda Pai, secretary Udupi district PU college principal’s association, D K Moger, president Udupi district Lecturers' Association, Dr Suma secretary Udupi District Lecturers Association and Dr Thirumaleshwara Bhat, principal SMVITM, Bantakal were present on the stage during the inauguration ceremony.

Dr Thirumaleshwara Bhat welcomed the gathering, D K Moger rendered the vote of thanks, Karthik V performed the invocation and Ramyashree compered the program.
