Bantwal: Mona Jacqueline Mendonca receives PhD from Kannada University Hampi

Bantwal, Sep 30: Mona Jacqueline Mendonca, lecturer in History at Carmel Composite PU College Modankap, here, and a research scholar at Karnataka Theological Research Center (KTC) Mangaluru was awarded Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree by Kannada University Hampi for her thesis titled 'The Apostolic Carmel Congregation: Women Education and Social Change in Coastal Karnataka (1870-1970)'.

She did her research work under the supervision of Dr Denis Fernandes, associate professor, St Aloysius College (Autonomous) Mangaluru. She has also published several research articles in reputed journals.

Apart from her academic curriculum, she has been an active member of the Association of Catholic Historian of India and socially active as an anchor, model and a voice-over artist.
