Karkala, Sep 30: State muzrai minister Kota Srinivas Poojary said that a full size managing committees to 65 temples in the state will be appointed soon. He was speaking after taking part in different programmes during his visit to the town on Tuesday, September 29.

He said that it took time to get the applications filed by several people from outside the state and verified through the police as per rules. "Selection process is in vogue for B and C category temples. Wherever applications have not been submitted, the religious council will undertake a voluntary selection process. Committees that are now being formed will be of full size," he added.

The minister explained that title deeds and rights on land could not be issued to many because of deemed forest issue. He said that the government has decided to drop six lac hectares of area from the control of forest department. He said that arrangements will be made to give Kumki, Kana and Bane land right to farmers. "Revenue act modification has been beneficial to farmers. They can use fertile land for agriculture and dry land for other business or industries. Corona treatment has been extended to AyushmanBharat scheme cards. It will help people to get treated in private hospitals," he stated.
