Karwar, Sep 30: After a tanker truck hit a scooter on national highway 63 near Arabail ghat on Tuesday September 29, both the rider and the pillion rider were killed.
The deceased have been identified as Vinod Kindarkar (57), who was the fire officer of the fire brigade at Yellapur and his daughter Suneha Kindarkar (13). The two were returning home. The fire officer, after his night shift was returning home with his daughter when a tanker which came from the opposite direction smashed into the scooter causing their instant deaths.
