Mangaluru: Fire at Bank of Baroda main office inflicts huge losses

Mangaluru, Sep 30: A fire accident happened at the main office of Bank of Baroda at Hampankatta here today. The fire which occurred at around 5 am on Wednesday September 30 resulted in large scale losses.

Electronic equipment in the office was burnt down. It is said that the fire was caused by a short circuit.

Fire tenders reached the spot and operation took place to put off the fire. Five air-conditioners and a computer were burnt down in the fire.

The branch officials informed through a notice that though the office is shut down due to the mishap, service will be continued to be provided at the founders’ branch at Jyothi circle and Falnir branch.
