Mangaluru, Sep 29: The police who have been probing the drug racket in the city and elsewhere and had arrested dancer-cum-choreographer, Kishore Aman Shetty and Aqeel Nausheel, have succeeded in taking into custody two more drug peddlers.
Shan Nawaz, who hails from Bunder Mangaluru, who is said to be a major drug peddler, who was hiding in Mumbai, was arrested earlier on Monday. Now, two more peddlers, of whom one has been identified as Sham from Kengeri Bengaluru and a Nigerian national, have also been taken into custody.
The persons arrested now were supplying drugs to Kishore Shetty and Aqeel Nausheel, sources said. They used to smuggle drugs from Mumbai and Goa and provide the same to the needy here.
The peddlers reportedly smuggled in MDMA, LSD and other synthetic drugs.
