Kaup: Retired teacher suffering from health problem commits suicide

Kaup, Sep 28: In a tragic incident which happened at Katapady on the night of Saturday, September 26, a retired teacher ended his life. The deceased has been identified as Appu Poojary (66) from Katapady.

Poojary was suffering from heart-related complications. Two years ago, he had suffered from dengue fever. As a result, he was depressed. He used to worry a lot about his health problems and on Saturday night, hanged himself inside a room of his residence.

Appu had actively served various organizations including Katapady Rotary Club, Lord Vishwanatha Temple managing committee etc. He is survived by wife and two sons.
