Udupi, Sep 24: Garage Owner’s Association of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi, Udupi zone requested the deputy commissioner to solve the scarcity of gas cylinders for gas welding businesses.
“There is scarcity in the supply of cylinders after the lockdown was lifted. The cylinders were not supplied to a garage since the last two months. As the vehicles cannot be repaired, goods transport and other transport businesses are facing problems. Garage owners and workers are unable to work,” they stated.
Association president, Roshan Karkada, secretary, Manjunath Manipal and advisor, Uday Kiran submitted the request to the deputy commissioner.
