Bengaluru, Sep 22: As AvalaHejje is celebrating its fourth annual festival 'Kannadati Utsava', a conference on the occasion, based on studying and sharing the unique and out-of-the-box ways women leaders tackle and overcome various challenges in different fields, under the title 'Bikkatinalli Ditta Hejje/stories of strength and courage' on November 1 on the occasion of Kannada Rajyotsava.

"In these challenging times of the coronavirus pandemic we have come across many stories where women have shown exemplary courage and presence of mind in facing grave situations."

"Women who have overcome the existing prejudices and biases against their leadership have shown their mettle during a critical period by achieving remarkable success in this endeavour" said Shanthala Damle, the founder of AvalaHejje.

Participants for this one-of-a-kind conference are, D Yashoda of Sumana Counselling Centre, Bengaluru, Asha R Vishwanath of Ashalaya, Bengaluru, professor of Akkamahadevi University, Renuka Mundroop, Prof Hemalatha, Chinmayi Praveen of Visthar Foundation, Rajeshwari Ravi Sarangimath, who works with the Lambaani Community of Haveri, photographer Navya Kadame, Dr Indira, retired professor, Mysore University, co-editor of E Bhanuvaara publication Kushaala Swamy and founder of Sahanaya foundation, social activist Yamuna AvalaHejje and others will be presenting papers on the said topic.
