Mangaluru: 'Mouna Mathadaga' awarded at International film fest

Mangaluru Sep 17: A Kannada silent short movie 'Mouna Mathadaga', directed by Prajwal Karpe awarded with the best film at the International Film Fest 2020 in Germany.

The short film was screened at the Maxim Gorki theatre in Germany.

Senior actor, Kasargod Ashok Kumar, Subramanya Pai played a lead role in the film. Chirag, Pradeep Pai, Nithin Bhandary, Shubam Kulal, Priyanka, Kavya Poojary, Shyam Prakash, Prajwal Karpe played a supportive role.

Director, Prajwal Karpe, son of Vasundara K and Chanchalakshi hails from Puttur worked as an assistant director in the movie Bojraaj MBBS. He has directed various shorts films, album songs.

Prajwal Karpe was a professor at Srinivas College Mangaluru who has done MTech in Computer Science. He has now switched roles from professor to film director.
