Moodbidri: Stars of Bedra propagate 'Amchi mai baas Konkani' through brilliant albums

Media Release

Moodbidri, Sep 16: While the generation is changing, people of today prefer English over their native language. A group of youngsters 'Stars of Bedra', formed during the lockdown on a casual note took on the initiative to inspire the youth through their creativity. As days passed, 'Stars of Bedra' came up with a motto of propagating Konkani, the micro language of coastal Karnataka, a language with its own culture and rich heritage.

This bunch of young minds has come up with funny and entertaining covers portraying effective messages to the audience.

The five shining stars are:
1. Rohan Fernandes
2. Venisha Tauro
3. Vivina Tauro
4. Kevin Mascarenhas
5. Glen D'Souza

The group's godfather/strength is their talent and creativity. Their covers are shot in and around Bedra (Moodbidri), with basic gadgets and entirely on phone. Their budding talents were crowned 'best creativity video' by Konkani Yuva Dubai and have emerged the best in many other competitions.

Their latest cover is the need of the hour displaying the pandemic corona which has startled the world with adversities and uncertainties on one side while on the other is a display of our superheroes in white coats, our policemen and all those corona warriors.

This video is a tribute to their selfless service to humanity.
