Mangaluru: Illegal building construction near Netravati, Puttur tahsildar orders land survey

Mangaluru, Aug 14: Public is expressing rage against the individual who has constructed a building illegally near the bank of Netravati river at Uppinangady. Puttur tahsildar has written a letter to the survey office for the complete survey of the land.

This building is built near Kootelu bridge of Uppinangady. Accusations are being heard that the construction has encroached land. Though this was brought to the notice of the concerned officials, no action was taken due to political pressure, it is alleged.

 

When the building was being built, the then assistant commissioner and the present deputy commissioner of Dakshina Kannada Dr Rajendra K V had asked to demolish the building. But as the officials who came after him did not take any action, the building is built in a huge manner now.

    This notice is for settlement in between officials and offenders.The owner of the site have to spend more now for unofficial reasons.

    Why this said to be an illegal construction gets to surprise every one now. Who issued and approved the construction plan need to be held responsible. If there is a survey of all villages, towns and cities then one will find at least 25 percent construction of houses, shops, buildings etc, will be certainly on encroached land. Why government authorities need to wait if it is illegal , it needs to be demolished then and there without notice and all costs needs to be recovered from the builder and prosecute him/her. But question is whether it will ever happen .......!!!!!

    Chandu Karla you are right.but the question is who is interested to check and do.I am sure most of the land is encroached by govt.employees and workers,or politicians self.One hand wash es other.corrupt politicians .Even land given to poor will not reach them unless some amount of money changes the hand.

    If the law is strict, and the house is built on illegal land grabbing, govt. should demolish it without question, and whichever officer issued the construction Order must be dealt seriously.
    Indian land rite law is not very transparent, and as a result people may not even know how to comply and Tashildar, village accountants confuse the people even more.

    In mubai adarsh society case. The building is constructed on government land to give flats to kargil solders but flats registered in politicians name. Even supreme court declared its illegal construction and they have demolished. But nothing happened. We have to follow only hum nahin karenge but we can't follow kisi ko karne denge.

    God knows how many illegal houses ,factories built in whole India.Problem is everywhere to demolish or take survey,to punish the said owners is always same.Politic pressure,kill someone ,again politicians will call.Wrong election results,who act against the defaulters ,will be transferred ,comes from politicians call.One should have one thing money,and influence.Disgusting.honest man has no chance.
