Mangaluru: Pilikula Zoo to be open for public viewing from Aug 16

Mangaluru, Aug 14: "Pilikula Zoo will be kept open for public viewing from August 16," said H J Bhandary, director of Pilikula Biological Park in a media release.

Visiting hours of the zoo will be from 10 am to 5 pm and the zoo will remain closed on Monday for the visitors for maintenance work to be carried out.

Visitors have to follow the guidelines issued by the district administration to protect themselves from COVID-19. Wearing a mask is compulsory. At the entrance, thermal screening will be done. Visitors should sanitize their hands while entering the zoo.

Sanitation facilities will be provided by the zoo. Social distance must be followed at the entrance and inside the zoo.

76 CC cameras will be installed in the zoo. Visitors are requested to co-operate with the authorities.

Tickets have to be purchased at the box office near the entrance. Parking of vehicles is allowed in front of the zoo entrance as well as near the box office.
