Bengaluru: 'My joining BJP was a good move' - S M Krishna

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Aug 14: "My relationship and rapport with BJP leaders and workers have been very good. I did a good thing by crossing over to the BJP. I am happy to about this decision," said former chief minister and veteran BJP leader S M Krishna.

He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has been doing a lot of work for the benefit of the citizens and that he is proud, just like others, to have joined him in leading the country towards progress. "There is no doubt that Modi will win the election and become Prime Minister again in 2024. The Congress even now has the potential to join hands with regional parties and fight against the BJP. But no one can stop Modi from winning," he analysed.

In an interview, he said that BJP as a party has unique power. "Because of clear vision of Modi and his quality to vibe well with others, the country has a good economic and political environment now. Neither the Prime Minister nor the BJP government face any charges of corruption. Those who tried to make allegations themselves are found to be corrupt. Modi, before taking any decision for the good of the country, thinks deeply and seeks suggestions from others. At the end, he will take an independent decision. In case something goes wrong, he does not blame people," he stated.

Krishna opined that internal democracy which existed during the times of Mahatma Gandhi and Subhas Chandra Bose is the need of the hour. He felt that by taking that as a model, political parties, in tune with the changing times, have to make room for internal democracy.

SM Krishna has so very rightly said that his joining the BJP is a good move . As far as we all know it was definitely the best move as he had no other option. If he had joined the said party 30-40 years ago then we all could have believed his statement. Now it is a tard too late. We surely cannot be fooled all the time.😂

I am reminded of the famous quote "Et Tu Brutus" in the play of Shakespeare and also of Judas Iscariot while reading your statement. We need today Statemen and not Politicians like you. Jai Hind.

Netas love power, always want to be in the limelight, this is seen across political spectrum...There is no retirement for these power brokers, they seek fresh pastures and jump ship for survival... The only observation that will be true, is the re election of PM Modiji, in 2024, for three consecutive terms !!!

    Dear Mr. Krishna
Your joining the BJP was your personal decision; people are not bothered. But what an example you set for others is quite bad. Congress is where you grew up, were groomed, stabilized and as a result you became the Chief Minister of a State, You became the Foreign Minister of India (though you did not know what report you were reading to the UN Assembly once). The Party stayed with you and gave you fame and name. What did you give back to the party? A stab? Seeing people like you, today's young politicians would like to replicate your move to gain advantage. You are consigned to a corner.

What did you get from BJP to feel so proud. I am not against the BJP, Its a national party. However you had a hidden agenda ! Your decision to join them - dumping your mother party - was unrewarding for you. Quite a confused and demoralized politician you are now. Enjoy your retirement.

Wrong move Sir! You had a good future in the Cong and could have become the CM .You had old age as an advantage. The grand old party looks after 'raamu kaakas' well. The Congress would have fielded an young smart candidate as the CMs face for the elections for victory . Immediately you would have become the CM and that young candidate would have become the deputy like they did in Rajasthan and MP. You could carried on for another 2-3 terms. Unfortunately that does not work in other parties.

The assurance and big tasks promised before the election are all forgotten once elected and only self motive is promoted. The needy citizens votes are made useless.

Mr. Krishna had a Golden run in the Congress, rising up in State Politics to become CM and then at the Center as MOE affairs, Governor of Maharashtra... The turn coat had no qualms about speaking ill of the party that gave him name and fame, and today, when none asked him his opinions he shamelessly praises the BJP wherein he is only a number, he must’ve expected a prime post given his vast experience in politics, but just like the other ex BJP stalwarts he is a nonentity, and probably faithfully asked to parrot some praises for his Masters. One must have some self respect..... a well educated person
