Beltangady: Businessman found dead under suspicious circumstances

Beltangady, Aug 13: Prakash Tulpule (54), owner of MRF Tyres showroom and also a dealer in these tyres, was found to have died inside the well of his house on Wednesday August 12. Tulpule's showroom and dealership are located on the main road here.

The businessman is survived by mother, wife, a son and a daughter.

On Wednesday evening, Prakash had closed the door of his business and reached his home located at the back of the business concern. He had changed his clothes and left, duly telling his daughter that he would be back after visiting the shed located at the back of their house.

After sometime, the daughter came out and noticed that her father's footwear were kept near the well. She suspected that her father would have fallen into the well and shouted for help. The locals rushed to the spot, brought out Tulpule out of the well and admitted him into the government hospital here. But it was too late.

It is said that the deceased did not face any financial or family problems. The local police have begun an investigation.

Prakash Tulpule was an active member of Rotary Club. He was a former president of the club and currently its treasurer. He was involved with several social service activities.
