Madikeri: Search for remaining three continues at Tala Kaveri

Madikeri, Aug 13: Search for the remaining three out of five who went missing after a huge landslide decimated their house near Tala Kaveri, continues. In spite of inclement weather, search teams are making all efforts to find the three, after two bodies out of five persons were found after a lot of effort.

Madikeri deputy superintendent of police, Dinesh Kumar, has been guiding the rescue measures. Police, fire brigade, state disaster response force, national disaster response force and forest department rescue teams camped at the spot continuing with the search. Deputy commissioner of Kodagu district, Annies Kanmani Joy, exuded confidence that the search operation will conclude soon.

Bodies of the chief priest, Narayan Achar, and Anandateertha Swamiji, have already been found from deep under the mud and slush that had devastated the house in which they lived due to the landslide at Brahmagiri hill.
