Mangaluru, Aug 8: Towards faster detection of COVID-19 cases in order to implement effective measures to contain the spread of coronavirus infection that has worsened of late, the district administration has decided to make the COVID testing measures more effective.

Henceforth rapid antigen tests (RAT) in all the private hospitals will be done free of cost. A total of 25,800 testing kits have reportedly been provided to all the medical colleges and private hospitals in the district. The district administration said that the department has provided RAT kits to all private hospitals with over 50 beds capacity, where coronavirus patients are being admitted.
