Karnataka to build yatri nivas for state pilgrims in Ayodhya

Bengaluru, Aug 8 (IANS): Anticipating a huge number of pilgrims from Karnataka to start visiting Ayodhya following the foundation stone laying ceremony of the Ram temple, Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa on Friday requested his Uttar Pradesh counterpart Yogi Adityanath for two acres of land to build a 'yatri nivas' (guest house).

"A large number of pilgrims from Karnataka would be visiting Ayodhya. The government of Karnataka wishes to construct a yatri nivas for the pilgrims visiting Ayodhya," Yediyurappa wrote to Yogi.

"I request you to grant two acres of land in Ayodhya for this purpose," he said.

The Chief Minister said the yatri nivas will be constructed for the benefit of pilgrims from the southern state.

He also congratulated the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister for successfully laying the foundation stone for the Ram temple on Wednesday.

How concerned you are about us Kannadigas when we go for pilgrimage - so sweet.

Now sir, can you please tell us readers - how many states have their Nivas built at their expense for the people of their state coming to temples in Karnataka ?

    Sir ? Please ??

Yadiurappa please take proper care of covd-19. You are suffering from same. Not worry about pilgrims of Karnataka at ayodhya. Yogi and modiji make all arrangements for yathris not only Karnataka but all over of world. So it is better to take good care of yourself and Karnataka.

We all Indians are equal. Its UP government responsibility to arrange accommodation to devotees. Why separate yatri nivas for Karnataka ?

Its sad all political leaders are trying Ram temple for their political gains. Keep away holy places from politics.

Devotees across the world, would be visiting this holy temple, the birth place of Lord Ram... UP government must anticipate a daily crowd of over 1 lakh, every day !!! The state must provide affordable, boarding and lodging facilities.... Moreover fool proof security n clean environment, with good sanitation will be required, for every pilgrim visiting Ayodhya !!!

    Sanjay,

Still there is a problem. There is no guarantee that you or me will get a place in the yatri nivas when we visit. Moreover, we have to pay for the train.

I have a idea, since you also wanted a temple in Mathura and Kashi, which is again in UP and makes the darshan expensive, we can build a Ram Mandir, a Krishna Mandir and a Vishwanath Mandir in Hebri.

I will fully support you and sure, your BJP also will support when you vote them and provide financial help.
When I and other yatris come to have darshan in Hebri, we can stay in your house.

I think this will the best idea.

Sirji it is better u first build a speciality hospital in each district of our state. People are dying n if they service only they will go on pilgrimage. The Ram teple is a huge structure and we'll planbed one so pilgrims are taken care of their needs by the trust. U concentrate on state development.

We have famous pilgrimage centers like Sri Kateel, Sri Dharmasthala, Sri Kukke Subramanya and so on. How many states have their pilgrimage tents in them ? Aren't we Kannadigas hosting all pilgrims at equal respect ? Then, why we Karnataka people should make arrangement when we go for pilgrimage to other states ? Isn't the local Temple Authority supposed to reciprocate what we do for them ?

    Learned scholars, please explain.

Then, I have this message to the scholar.

The government that takes my taxes, clubs it into ONE pool and uses it discriminately for religious upliftment (in general, not one) than using it for development of the nation. Even my state does not get it's share that is collected on account of state levy. Please justify this.

Being an Indian, I have all right to question about how the taxes are used.
