Panaji, Aug 4: Around 90 workers of Corporation of the City of Panaji (CCP) from Camrabhat will be returning to work after almost one month. Because almost all were door to door garbage collectors, they were instructed to stay home amid the coronavirus outbreak.

The lockdown period for Camrabhat residents came to a close on Tuesday and the CCP workers who were staying at home will be asked to resume their duties, a report by TOI stated.

As these CCP workers were confined indoors owing to the containment zone, their garbage collection duties were assigned to some drivers and other CCP staff engaged in road cleaning so that Panaji residents are not an inconvenience, mayor Uday Madkaikar said.
