Byndoor: Congress protests condemning hike in fuel prices

Byndoor, Jul 6: "Ordinary people have been facing hardships due to coronavirus, economic crisis and unemployment. Condemning the hike in fuel prices, the Congress party slammed the Centre for increasing the rates during such conditions while crude oil prices in the world have crashed," said Byndoor MLA K Gopala Poojary.

Poojary was speaking at a protest held by Congress Byndoor and Vandse block on July 6. Slamming the Centre's decision of hiking the petrol and diesel prices, he criticized the government's anti-people policies.



Block Congress president Madan Kumar, S Raju Poojary, Prakashchandra Shetty, Youth Congress president Shekar Poojary and others were present. An appeal was sent to the President of India through the tahsildar later.

Vandse block Congress committee president Pradeep Kumar Shetty Gudibettu addressed the protesters. Vandse block former president Sampigedi Sanjiva Shetty, zilla panchayat member Jyothi M, taluk panchayat member Udaya G Poojary, former zilla panchayat member H Manjayya Shetty, party’s Santhosh Kumar Shetty Haklady, Nagappa Kothari, Sharath Kumar Shetty, Kiran Hegde, Youth Congress president Prashanth Karki, Byndoor block Youth Congress president Shekar Poojary, Mahila Congress president Manjula Devadiga and local leaders were present. An appeal was sent to the President of India later through Vandse Nada Kacheri.
