Obviously, someone is lying: Rahul on PM statement

New Delhi, Jul 3 (IANS): On the day when Narendra Modi landed in Leh and also visited forward locations near the Indo-China border, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi launched yet another attack on the Prime Minister and alleged that "some one is lying" about the ground situation at the LAC as Ladakhi say that China took our land.

Rahul Gandhi tweeted, "Ladakhis say: China took our land. PM says: Nobody took our land. Obviously, someone is lying."

Modi's surprise visit to Leh and other forward locations on Friday came barely 18 days after a violent face-off with the Chinese army in which 20 Indian soldiers were killed. Accompanied by Chief of Defence Staff and the Indian Army chief, the Prime Minister reviewed the ground security situation.

Modi reached Ladakh early morning and was briefed by the Army, Air Force and the Indo-Tibetan Border Police at one of the forward locations in Nimu, located at 11,000 feet above sea level. Nimu is among the tough terrains, surrounded by the Zanskar range and on the banks of the Indus.

The Prime Minister, accompanied by Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat and Army Chief General Manoj Mukund Naravane, was set to interact with injured soldiers at the military hospital in Leh, which would be a huge morale booster for the forces.

Congress youth leader Mr.Rahul Gandhi and other opposition parties should not replicate the ‘Modi model’ of exchanging barbs with the Centre and BJP over PM Narendra Modi’s handling of the present state of affairs with China. Instead, it requires to draw the present regime into an informed discourse and pin it down by raising issues that impact national dignity and security.

Rahul Gandhi must realise that Modi cannot be beaten at his own game. Rather than attack the prime minister personally, the Congress leader should take Manmohan Singh's cue and use tempered language.
The 56-inch chest has been badly exposed when it was needed to be bared the most. Instead of replicating Modi’s template of political criticism, Congress leaders need to provide a counter to all-pervading hype. A model exists in Manmohan Singh’s statement.

I would advice Congress leader to choose his word carefully so that PM Modi's silence must be broken and the answer what nation wanted should come in front.

Since 2014 morale of our armed forces is very low due to many reasons. Main reasons being nepotism, cutting defence budget, food rations, pensions and using them as pawns for terrorists for vested interest etc. No armed forces personnel spoke openly against the govt till 2014 but after 2014 many spoke and many have been silenced for raising voice towards injustice done to them.
