Kareena shares how Saroj Khan taught her to dance


Mumbai, Jul 3 (IANS): Actress Kareena Kapoor Khan has shared how late veteran choreographer Saroj Khan taught her dancing during the shoot of "Jab We Met".

In an Instagram image the actress shared, the prolific dancer is seen teaching Kareena the steps while the actress is looking at her.

"Master ji always told me... perrr nahin chala saktiii toh kam se kam face toh chalaaaaa (if you cant move your feet, move your face). That's what she taught me... to enjoy dancing, smile and smile through the eyes," Kareena wrote alongside the image.

The actress stressed that there can never be another Saroj Khan.

"There can never be another... Dance and expression can never be the same for us actors and for everyone who loved her... Love you master ji. Till we dance again... RIP #SarojKhan," she added.

Kareena also shared a clip from the song "Yeh ishq haye" from the film.

Saroj Khan won her third National Award as choreographer for the song "Yeh ishq haye" in Imtiaz Alis 2007 film, "Jab We Met", which was picturised on Kareena.

Khan passed away at around 1.30am on Friday after a cardiac arrest. She was 71.

She passed away in the early hours of Friday. She was diabetic and had complained of breathing problem last month, following which she was admitted to Mumbai's Guru Nanak Hospital. Over the past few weeks, she had been experiencing multiple health issues, though she had tested negative for Covid-19, family sources said.
