Goa CM salutes medical professionals on Doctors' Day

Panaji, Jul 1 (IANS): Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Wednesday saluted the medical fraternity, especially doctors, for their contribution in wake of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic on the occasion of National Doctors' Day.

"Today is Doctors' Day. The world over, doctors are treating Covid-19 patients. I salute them. Being from the same profession, I understand all their difficulties as well as the difficult processes they are going through," said Sawant, who is a practitioner of alternative medicine.

"In Goa too, some doctors and nurses have tested positive. We are taking care of them along providing them proper treatment and quarantine facilities," the Chief Minister said in a press conference on Wednesday.
