Oman: Indian embassy issues guidelines for charter flights

Daijiworld Media Network – Oman (SD)

Oman, Jun 24: The charter flight organizers repatriating Indian nationals back to the country in Oman are asked to follow all the pre-boarding procedures listed by the different states in India to which they are flying.

The Indian embassy in Muscat has issued new guidelines for corporations and community organizations chartering aircraft and to the air transport operator (ATO) or airline that would be operating them.

"The corporate/community organisation wishing to operate a chartered flight may identify an air transport operator (ATO),” a statement from the embassy said. “The ATO may contact the nodal point of the state government concerned directly with flight proposals and passenger manifests,” the embassy said.

The embassy has made available all the formats for flight proposal, passenger manifest and list of nodal points in various Indian states to all airlines operating to and from Oman.

It said that it is the responsibility of the corporators or community organizations and the ATO to ensure the guidelines are made aware to the passengers.

“It will be the responsibility of corporate/community organisation and the ATO to ensure that the conditions of the concerned state government in respect of quarantine, COVID testing as well as any other requirements are complied with scrupulously,” the embassy added.
