New Delhi, June 6 (IANS): Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Saturday accused the government of destroying the country's economy by not providing cash assistance to the people and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), terming it as demonetisation 2.0.

Taking to Twitter, the former Congress president said, "Government is actively destroying our economy by refusing to give cash support to people and MSMEs. This is Demon 2.0."

Rahul, who is also an MP from Kerala's Wayanad has been demanding cash aid to the needy and MSMEs, for the past several days.

He has also urged the government to provide Rs 7,500 cash assistance to the vulnerable sections for six months across the country.

    However and honestly I am very much disappointed.
    For relugion sake... you do not support am out and out Dud !That too for the top most ! Does not pass on any account.
    The intelligent of the community instead of blindly supporting should make it known to him the responsibilities, duties that come with it or tell him plainly not cut out for the job. It is pathetic this ' Religious ' ingredient in supporting...
    Advise him, support him in doing something he enjoys .. Light hearted stuff...

    Agree Bhandu Maam, after all the RAFALE drama hoarse crying last year, all he could add was 8 seats to tally of 44 to make it 52. But in that bargain, vote share fell from 22 percent to 17.6 percent All India, decimation continued in State Elections too. Not only that, Raul lost family fiefdom seat of Amethi, running away to far away Wayanad and we all know how he won there!

    Holding one way interviews on private you tube channels is not going to help Raul. He has been completely decimated in last years LS polls, loosing himself very badly in Amethi, a constituency nurtured by Great Grandfather Nehru and then by Grand Mother Indira. Raul's father Rajiv Gandhi has won twice from there as well as Mother Sonia Maino twice before she moved to nearby Rae Barelli seat, gifting this to son and then President of CONgress party, he had 5 years to prepare onslaugt on Modi & team, but all he could add was RAFALE, RAFALE and nothing else, even pleading with SC of India. This is the guts of this guy who wants to change our society and become leader of all sycophants!!
