Mangaluru: Saplings planted at NITTE (deemed to be university) campus on Environment Day

Mangaluru, Jun 6: World Environment Day was celebrated on June 5 at NITTE (deemed to be university) by planting saplings in the campus.

Dr Sathish Kumar Bhandary chancellor, Professor Dr Alka Kulkarni registrar, Professor Dr Sumalatha Shetty of N N S, Professor Dr Smitha Hegde of NUGIP and others were present.

Every sapling is tagged under the programme 'plant tree on your birthday'.

Days of students adopting trees, production of bio-gas and other environment-friendly days are being celebrated.
